Hailo,
This is a post about http://gw2.brutebyte.com/ web site. I just found it today and am curious if others are familiar with the site.

WvW has been so dead the past few days on SF that I started looking for a reason. I found a post that mentioned a mass exodus recently from SF. To attempt to confirm I tried to get info about CHEF, a guild I have been assisting in WvW recently but haven't seen the last few days, and found that they are in fact associated with the Dragonbrand server now. Which happens to be the server the exodus was rumored to have gone to. Anyway, Brute Byte has some good info.

Then just out of curiosity I tried to look up my guild (Silver Bows). While FORD was listed along with 483 other PvP guilds, the BOWS were not. We are participating but must not be doing something that would be tracked. Wonder what that might be?

This loss was very recent, like this week, and very noticeable. I expect things to rebuild slowly.

BOWS are usually support only, not enough of us to run around and take things. We did take a camp once and I upgraded it to see what would happen, nothing noticeable.

I'll bet that is the issue though, we aren't doing what is required to register. I just don't know the related details like how many camps/towers/ keeps you can upgrade and what the cost is. The camp seemed incredibly cheap if I remember right, like 5 silver.

Is there a good guide?

I get a database error. :(

What I tend to do while alone is flip camps. Either to keep our borderlands safe or to choke enemy borderlands; even if the other server is there you can sneak around and make the situation worse for the receiver. Small groups are great for defending our borderlands if you're organised enough. Distraction is a good enough strategy in some cases too.

If you're quick and very sneaky you can take a tower with two catapults, a guardian, and an elementalist.
This is the really awesome signature you are looking for.

I spoke with Brian, Charrdian, about [CHEF]
They left two or three days ago
INS left too, but I don't know where they went
so we no longer have any WvW guilds in SF

You can claim an objective by talking to the Guild Claiming NPC

And here's the upgrade that you can upgrade.

Guild claiming

Whenever an objective is captured, any guild may claim it. A claimed objective will display its guild's banner and benefit from any Art of War upgrades. Guilds can claim only one objective per map. A guild can claim an objective at the respective guild claiming NPC after 3 minutes of the objective being taken. If the guild formed the majority of players taking over this objective, they may claim it immediately.

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks Edgar.

That's what I was afraid of. Two players with a cat aren't taking any towers right now, cause there are no large groups distracting the enemy. I would think this might attract WvW groups from a large server who are tired of running with zergs and mindlessly taking things. But it will take a few weeks at the least and a very good group of players. In the mean time, I'll work on the story lines and my Ascended gear.

Oh, Nix
I am having no troubles with the BruteByte site using Firefox ESR 31.2.0, you might try a different browser.

sad to see CHEF leave also, especially because I thought they were a lot like us and loyal to SF even when times are as rough as they are.

That being said, this is not the first time SF was a bottom 3 server. We've been here before, first time was for a LONG TIME then some bigger guilds joined us to "show they mean business and can change a server" and then we were on the uprising hitting as high as rank 15.

But those days are gone. I'm sure some guilds will do it again, feel unchallenged and or unrespected and if ANET does free transfers to lower pop servers we can see a rise for SF one day.
